Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Certified Medication Aides

What you'll do

  • Provide individualized care to residents according to each resident’s plan of care.

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ALDs) including bathing, grooming, and dressing.

  • Assist with mealtime activities, including feeding residents as needed.   

  • Assist residents with mobility, including transferring and positioning them safely.

  • Monitor residents’ health status and vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the nurse.

  • Engage residents in social and recreational activities to promote overall well-being.

  • Maintain safe, clean, and organized living environment for residents.

  • Perform other duties as required to provide exceptional care to each resident.

  • Certified Medication Aides will pass medications under the general supervision of a nurse.

What you need

  • Active certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant in North Carolina. 

  • Active certification as a Certified Medication Aide in North Carolina.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Highly organized and detail oriented. 

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

What you'll do

  • Supervise, coordinate, and direct the work of nursing assistants (CNAs).

  • Provide individualized nursing care to residents according to each resident’s plan of care.

  • Assist in the admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.

  • Administers prescribed medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.

  • Explains procedures and treatments ordered to gain patients’ cooperation and allay apprehension.

  • Observe vital signs to detect deviations from normal and gage progress of the patient.

  • Maintains patients’ medical record on nursing observation and action taken, such as medications and treatments given, reactions, tests, intake, emission of liquids and solids, and vital signs.

  • Records nursing needs of patient on care plan to assure continuity of care.

  • Observes emotional stability of patients, expresses interest in their progress, and prepares them for continuing care after discharge.

  • Perform other duties as required to provide exceptional care to each resident.

  • Active Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in North Carolina.

CNA Class Participant

King Health & Rehabilitation Center in King, NC is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to participate in our Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Class and become valuable members of our healthcare team.

RN Staff Development Coordinator/Infection Preventionist

Responsible for providing new hire orientation, annual follow-up training, and education in-service programs as needed for all staff. The SDC plans, organizes, implements, and coordinates facilities on going educational needs. In addition, SDC monitors Relias compliance, OSHA, and employee medical files, CPR certifications, and licenses. Participates and is actively involved in Infection Prevention, surveillance, and QAPI; The SDC will be part of the nursing management team, will be involved in the nursing management call schedule. The SDC will report directly to the Director of Nursing. EOE
