Assistant Director of Nursing

Lexington Health Care Center in Lexington, NC is seeking a qualified candidate to join our team as the Assistant Director of Nursing (RN).

What You'll Do

  • Support the Director of Nursing in providing leadership and oversight to the nursing team.

  • Assist in developing and executing plans to meet departmental goals and objectives.

  • Monitor patient care delivery and clinical outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards, including state and federal regulations.

  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, professional growth, and employee engagement. 

  • Partner with Human Resources to recruit, onboard, and retain top nursing talent.

  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify opportunities for improvement and implement strategies to enhance patient care and safety.

  • Perform other duties as required to provide exceptional care to each resident. 

 

What You Need

  • Active unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in North Carolina.

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. 

  • Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in nursing practice and patient care.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and lead a diverse team of healthcare professionals.

Your primary responsibility will be to support patients and their families during the transition from acute care to post-acute care, providing guidance and assistance throughout the process. This role demands excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as you will serve as the main point of contact between the healthcare team, patients, and their families. You will evaluate potential admissions, collaborate with various departments to ensure a smooth admission process, and implement strategies to attract and retain patients. The ideal candidate will possess a compassionate approach, strong organizational skills, and a deep understanding of the healthcare continuum.

What you'll do

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve and maintain census targets.
  • Monitor and analyze census trends and develop plan of action to address census challenges.
  • Identify potential referral sources and build strong relationships with hospitals, physicians, community organizations, and other healthcare providers.

What you need

  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with referral sources and community partners.
